Badhaai Ho received positive reviews and was a commercial success. With earnings of over ₹221 crore against a budget of ₹29 crore, it emerged as the ‘ninth-highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2018’.

This film is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L. Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banners Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. Apart from the trio, the film stars Jitendra Kumar, Pankhuri Awasthy, Maanvi Gagroo, Manu Rishi, Sunita Rajwar and Bhumi Pednekar in a cameo. The film tells the story of a gay man and his partner, who have trouble convincing the former’s parents of their relation.
