It was just yesterday when we were mourning the loss of a fine gem in the film industry Irrfan Khan and today waking up to the news of the demise of yet another legend Rishi Kapoor. Irrfan Khan was hospitalized on 28-04-2020 after his health condition deteriorated. The actor needed immediate medical attention and was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai for colon infection. He was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare form of cancer that can target various parts of the body. On 29-04-2020, the news of the actor’s demise spread worldwide disheartening many.
Last evening it was reported that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor was unwell and hospitalized.
“He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now,” Randhir Kapoor to the media.
The 67-year-old actor was admitted in H N Reliance hospital, where he breathed his last today morning after a two-year-long battle with cancer. The actor’s family members including wifeNeetu Kapoor, sonRanbir Kapoor, brotherRandhir Kapoor were at his side while he was hospitalized . It is unclear who else was present at the hospital.
The actor recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film “The Intern”, featuring Deepika Padukone. The original stars Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, whose roles Rishi and Deepika were to play and Rene Russo along with a supporting cast. Deepika Padukone met Rishi kapoor in May 2019 after the latter returned to India after his treatment in New York. Sharing photos from Deepika’s visit, Neetu Kapoor wrote on Instagram, “Such a fun evening with adorable @deepikapadukone .. gave a lot of love n warmth ” In the pictures, Deepika is seen hugging Rishi Kapoor who has just been cured of cancer.
