Pooja Hegde made her debut into films with Mysskin’s Mugamoodi in 2012. The film starred Jiiva in the lead role. She later appeared in Telugu films Oka Laila Kosam being her Telugu debut followed by Mukunda. She did her first Hindi film Mohenjo Daro opposite Hrithiik Roshan directed by Ashutosh Gowariker in 2015. She went on to do several films in Telugu and few in Hindi. She was last seen in Ala Vaikunthapurramloo opposite Allu Arjun and directed by Trivikram. The song ‘Butta Bomma’ went viral for its hook step with various celebrities sharing their videos.
Ala Vikunthapurramloo has crossed +1 Billion streams on YouTube making it the highest for a Telugu film. In Hindi Pooja was last seen in Housefull 4. The film had and ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Rana Dagubatti, Chunky Panday, Jony Lever, Ranjith etc. The film relased for Diwali and went on to be commercially successful.
Recently Pooja Hegde posted a picture from a scene from Majili featuring Samantha and said “ I don’t find her pretty at all”. Since then the actress has been demanded by Samantha’s fans to apologise gto the actress. Even singer Chinmayi took to Twitter to support Samantha. Majili stars Naga Chaitanya and Samantha in the lead roles. Pooja Hegde acted alongside Chaitanya in Oka Laila Kosam.
The actress now claims that her social media account has been hacked and requests fans not to believe anything.
