Ever since the government started the vaccination drive, just like everybody else, celebrities also got themselves registered for their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. As they took their first shot of the vaccine, the celebrities shared their experience and also urged their fans to get vaccinated.
Celebrities like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Nayanthara, Aishwarya Rajesh, Keerthy Suresh, Ashok Selvan, Harish Kalyan, are among those few celebrities who got vaccinated and the latest to join the list are actors Suriya and Jyotika. Suriya, who tested positive for COVID-19 in February this year, was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. On having tested negative after a few days, he returned home and was in quarantine for a brief period. The Actor who was already shooting for a few projects earlier this year, resumed work in March by joining the sets of his upcoming project with Director Pandiraj, who later tweeted about the same by sharing a picture with a caption, “Feels good to be back on sets,”.
According to a source, Suriya had already taken his first dose of vaccine soon after recovering from Covid, while shooting for Suriya 40. He later took the second dose along with his actress-wife Jyotika last evening at a private hospital in the city. The actor took to Social Media and shared a picture of the duo getting vaccinated. The couple chose to go casual with their attires. Not too long after the post, the pictures of this power couple went viral on Social Media.
On the work front, Suriya who is basking on the success of his last release Soorarai Pottru has his hands full with an interesting line up of films like Sun Pictures’ Suriya 40 with Director Pandiraj, the Netflix Anthology Navarasa for Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, Vaadivasal with Director Vetrimaaran, an untitled film with Director Siruthai Siva and an untitled film under his home banner 2D Entertainment .
