The teaser of Robert Pattinson’s much-anticipated film, The Batman, was released on August 22 during the DC FanDome event. The DC Superhero film, directed by Matt Reeves, has approximately three months of material left to shoot and the makers are planning to wrap up the film by the end of this year. The Batman was supposed to release in early 2021. However, the production work got delayed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
At Saturday’s DC Fandome event, Matt Reeves unveiled the teaser of the film. The Batman teaser shows Robert Pattinson as a caped crusader who takes on Paul Dano’s The Riddler. The video also gives us the glimpses of Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman and it has already excited DC fans. Looks like The Batman is a gritty and violent film which will have a new take on the iconic superhero. The background score, Nirvana’s Something in the Way, is quite haunting and intriguing.
During the FanDome event, Matt Reeves had revealed that 1970s classics like Taxi Driver and Chinatown majorly influenced him to come up with this film. The Batman also stars Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell in important roles. The makers have now decided to release the film on October 1, 2021.
