Chris Hemsworth, Hollywood’s handsome hunk, known for his portrayin ‘Thor’ in the MCU, celebrating his 37th birthday yesterday. This is a fact knwon to may, but if you don’t, you must know that the name of Chris’ daughter is India Rose and there is a story behind it. We all know that the actor arrived in India for the shooting of his action entertainer ‘Extraction’ and apart from that, his wife Elsa Pataky has spent a good amount of time in the country. He also has twin sons, Tristan and Sasha.
During the promotion of ‘Men In Black: International’ in 2019, the actor told the news agency, “My wife spent lot of time in India and that was where the name originally came from.”
In a press event, the actor showered praises for India and it’s people and said, “I love the place and the people. Shooting there… There were thousands of people on the streets every day and I have never experienced that on set. It was sort of intimidating as it was exciting because there were so many people.”
He added, “I have such pleasant memories of people and interactions there, and a lot of enthusiasm and positivity. There was real excitement for us shooting there. We had never shot there before. From the crew it felt like there were not many films like this being shot there so there was a unique sort of originality to it.”
The actor was last seen in ‘Extraction’, which was directed by Sam Hargrave. The action-thriller, which also features Indian actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Randeep Hooda and Rudraksh Jaiswal, has been majorly shot in Ahmedabad, India. The director of the film confirmed the sequel of Extraction recently as he told Collider, “It wasn’t something (discussed) on set. As soon as it got mentioned, that thought of a sequel — because, I guess, Netflix was enjoying the dailies and things were coming together and people were like, ‘Oh, this could be…’. You know, you talk about all these things. Is it a franchise? Is it all these things? Who knows until the movie comes out and the audience responds. They’ll be the ones who decide. But it was talked about.”
