Sources say when Ankita heard of Sushant’s demise, she hung up the phone in shock, when a news portal contacted her. Sushant and Ankita met on the sets of their show, ‘Pavitra Rishta’, and played the protagonists. They soon upgraded their ‘reel romance’ to a ‘real one’ and dated for about 6 years before parting ways. After which Sushant was rumoured to be dating his ‘Raabta’ co-star Kriti Sanon and he had been in a relationship with Rhea Chakraborty for a brief period until his death.
Soon after Sushant’s demise, Ankita had visited the actor’s house to pay her condolence and was seen breaking down. In fact, Sushant’s father had also said that Ankita had not just visited his Bombay house but went to his Patna house as well to be by the family in times of such rough.
It has been a month since Sushant Singh Rajput left us and we still find it hard to accept. One of the most successful actors in the film industry, we had so much more to see of him. Sushant left the world mourning on June 14 when he hanged himself from the ceiling of his Bandra apartment. As the world remembers Sushant on one-month of his demise, Ankita Lokhande lit a lamp, honouring the great man that Sushant was.
