John Cena, a professional wrestler, actor, TV presenter and rapper has won several WWE titles and acted in films such as Trainwreck, Sisters and a cameo in Daddy’s Home. In 2017, Cena lent his voice for the animated films, Surf’s Up 2: WaveMania and Ferdinand. He also appeared in Daddy’s Home 2, reprising his role which was larger in this film. In 2018, he starred in the comedy Blockers, and had a leading role in the Transformers spin-off prequel, Bumblebee. In 2020, he voiced Yoshi, a polar bear, in Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr. Emma Thompson, Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Octavia Spencer, Selena Gomez, Kumail Najiani, Craig Robinson, Ralph Fiennes and Marion Cotillard.
In 2019, Joh was cast in the F9 to play the role of Jakob Toretto , Dominic Toretto’s younger brother who works with Fast and Furious 8’s villain Cipher. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren and Sung Kang. Sung’s character Han was shown dead in the end of Fast and Furious 6. F9 was slated to release in Summer 2020, but now has been postponed to 2021. John was cast for an undisclosed role in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, a role originally intended for Dave Bautista.
John took to Instagram to share a picture of Ranveer Singh in his Alauddin Khilji look, a character he played in Sanjay Leela Bahnsali’s Padmaavat also starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The picture has the words “Stone Cold Singh” written on it. Ranveer replied to the post with emoticons.
