Twinkle Khanna is not just known as the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia or Akshay Kumar’s wife, but has made a mark for herself as an actor and a witty and intelligent Author. Adding another feather to her hat, Twinkle also turned producer for PadMan starring Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. The film was based on the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham breaking the taboo topic menstruation. Twinkle had earlier co-produced films like Tees Maar Khan, Patiala House, Thank You, Khiladi 786, 72 Miles and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
As PadMan turned 2 on May 28, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to share two pictures with his co-stars Radhika and Sonam and said he was glad and proud to have worked in such a film. Twinkle replied to his tweet saying she won’t be casting him in her next production. Anil Kapoor quoted Twinkle’s tweet, attached a video clipping of him and Rajkummar rao and said that both of them were very much interested in her next film and have sent an audition clipping too
