Ben Affleck who played the Cape Crusader- Batman in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League; was reportedly retiring from playing the billionaire superhero stating that the role drained him emotionally and physically. He aslo said he became an alcoholic because of that, but with a little help from rival universe superhero Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr. he is fine now . Warner Bros roped in Twilight fame Robert Pattison to step into the shoes of Affleck for the standalone Batman film directed Matt Reeves. Pictures of Pattison in the Batman costume, the Bat Mobile etc. went viral. Pattison’s standalone film is set to release in 2021.
Yesterday Affleck took to Twitter to share a picture about the new Zack Snyder Justice League movie. The film is set to release on HBOMax, in 2021 as well. So right now, the DCEU fans have gone into frenzy. They are super excited and say 2021 is the ‘Batman Year’.
