Sonakshi Sinha starred opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in K.S. Ravikumar’s 2014 film Lingaa.This marked her debut in Kollywood. However the actor wasn’t too keen to do Tamil films. She was last seen in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3. This film marked the debut of Mahesh Manjrekar’s daughter Saiee Manjrekar. Sonakshi was also part of Karan Johar’s dream project Kalank which tanked at the box office. The actress was appreciated for her subtle performance nonetheless.
