March, April and May was highly anticipated as films all over the world were to release in these months. From Fast and Furious 9, Black Widow, Quiet Place 2, Mulan, Master, Marakkar, Soorarai Pottru, Jagame Thandhiram, Ponmagal Vandhal, Sooryavanshi, Coolie No 1, etc. and many film’s shooting put on hold. Here’s a list of films that’s all set to have an OTT release.
PonMagal Vandhal – May 29
PonMagal Vandhal stars Jyotika in the lead role. The film is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. JJ Fredrick is the film’s director. The film also stars veteran and big names Bhagyaraj, Parthiban Pandiarajan, Prathap Pothen and Thiagarajan.
Gulabo Sitabo – June 12
Gulabo Sitabo stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar who earlier directed Vicky Donor and Piku which starred both Amitabh and Ayushmann respectively. The release date of the film was initially announced for November 2019, but was then advanced to 28 April and later preponed to February 28. The film’s release date was again postponed to 17 April. The film was then scheduled to be released on 17 April 2020
Penguin – June 19
Penguin is a thriller film directed by Eashvar Karthic and produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam. Keerthy Suresh plays the lead in the film. Santhosh Narayanan has scored music for the film.
Law – June 26
LAW is an Indian Telugu-language action film directed by Gagan Gopal Mulka and produced by Ramesh Babu Munna. The film features Kamal Kamaraju, Mauryani and Pooja Ramachandran in lead roles.
French Briyani – July 24
French Biryani is about a three-day journey of a French expatriate and an auto driver from Shivajinagar. The story is written by Avinash Balekkalla, with music by Vasuki Vaibhav and cinematography by Karthik. Disha Madan, Nagabhusan and Sindhu Srinivasmurthy are also part of the cast.
Shakuntala Devi – DTBA
Shakuntala Devi is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical film directed and written by Anu Menon and produced by Sony Pictures Networks India and Vikram Malhotra under his banner Abundantia Entertainment. The film stars Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi, who was also known as the “human computer” along with Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh.
Sufiyum Sujatavum – DTBA
Sufiyum Sujathayum is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas and produced by Vijay Babu under his banner Friday Film House. The film stars Jayasurya and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
